1997 gmc suburban slt 1500 4x4. This suburban was bought new by the washington state police and was used as an undercover and surveillance vehicle up until april of 2014. It sat at their facility until march of this year when i bought it. They are known for their meticulous vehicle maintenance. I was told that the fluids and filters were changed every 3,000 miles during its career. Since i purchased it i’ve installed a new battery, new running boards (this vehicle never had them), and new wipers. Coming from washington, where it is always raining, the carpet had a mildew smell to it so i replaced all the carpet and pad throughout. Then i installed brand new weathertech floor mats to protect the new carpet. It has the tow package that comes with the trans cooler and 7 pin plug. It has front and rear a/c and heat. Leather seats that are in great condition. 4-wheel drive works great. When i bought this suburban it had 130,000 miles. It now has 133,000 miles, which is quite low for a 1997 suburban in this area. It gets between 16 and 18 mpg with the driving that i’ve done. It has a couple of dings in the body and one pretty good scratch in the driver’s door (see photo). Overall this is a very straight and clean suburban. It has never had the wear and tear that a large family typically puts on one of these. It would be hard to find one this nice for the money.
